A SCOTT CONANT COLLECTION

BY SOGNO TOSCANO

Chef Scott Conant brings his passion for food culture into homes with the debut of his acclaimed Sprezza line of cooking and pantry essentials. This collection of nine sauces, spreads, olives, and more embodies the three tenets of Conant restaurants – honesty, integrity, and soul – and bring authentic Italian flavor and “inherent elegance” to every dish. For Sprezza, Chef Conant partnered with Tuscany’s famed Sogno Toscano to create a collection that is highlighted by the chef’s signature Pomodoro Sauce, an original recipe and versatile blend made from fresh Italian tomatoes, enhancing the taste of everything from pastas to pizza to seafood.

SPREZZA BRUSCHETTA

While an ideal topping for appetizers, apply this combination of peppers, tomato, oil, and more to everything from roasted chicken to whitefish.

SPREZZA BLACK OLIVES SPREAD

A tapenade that utilizes Nostralina Toscana black pitted olives and olive oil. This spread is perfect for Bruschetta and a lot of fish preparations. Smear it over the top of the fish and bake it in the oven, it’s a great flavor.

SPREZZA FATTORIA I.G.P.

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

Made from 100 percent superior quality, hand-harvested Tuscany olives. This olive oil has been used in Chef Conant's restaurants for 10+ years. Olive oil is like sushi, you know quality when you taste it. This oil is not too spicy in the back of the palette and has a wonderful aroma.

SPREZZA MEDITERRANEAN FANTASY OLIVES

Hand-selected, undressed olives that allow every chef to express their passion for food. Warm them in a little bit of olive oil with herbs and garlic. If you haven’t eaten a warm roasted olive, it’s a different experience of a cold olive.

SPREZZA POMODORO SAUCE

Chef Conant’s signature tomato sauce, is often seen during his TV cooking appearances, as well as a staple in all his restaurants. Made from fresh Italian tomatoes – “that’s where we find the best tomatoes,” he says – and packaged without preservative flavor and high citric acid, this original recipe is a versatile blend that can be used for spaghetti, ravioli, chicken parmesan, pizza, and more. “I’ve managed to open a lot of restaurants because of that tomato sauce,” Chef Conant says.

SPREZZA OVEN-BAKED BLACK OLIVES

Baking olives is an old Italian tradition and they are the perfect addition to any meal. There is a great concentration of flavor in these olives, very similar to an oil-cured Moroccan olive. The olives have a nice exterior, great texture, and are great for salads and pastas.

SPREZZA ARTICHOKE HEARTS

They’re whole hearts, so they are great by themselves. Serve them for appetizers or you can easily cut them up and make a salad, pasta salad, or seafood salad.
